There is no two human in this world will have identical same finger print patterns, not even twin brothers or sisters! Besides using finger prints as identification measure, finger prints patterns can help a person to understand his or her personalities and potential. It is because our finger prints reflect how our brain functions in a way. This has been tested and proven by statistic.
Furthermore, statistic has shown that there are in general ten (10) types of finger prints in 4 general categories. The first category is the Arch. The Arch pattern looks like ridges lying above one another in a general arching formation. In common language, it is also looks like a mountain. Within the Arch category, there are 2 types: Simple Arch (SA) and Tented Arch (TA). People in this category are generally much steady like a mountain or we refer it as system oriented. There is estimated 10 percent of the population is in this category.
The second category is the Loop. The Loop pattern consists of one of one or more free recurving ridges and one delta. It looks like a river with a delta. Within the Loop category, there are Ulnar Loop (UL) and Radical Loop (RL) types. The two patterns are very similar except the way the ridges flow. If the ridges flow toward the little finger, then it is Ulnar Loop. Reversely, if the ridges flow toward your thumb, then it is called Radical Loop. People in this category are more perpetual, sensitive and emotional or we called it people oriented. More than 50 percent of the population is in this category.
The third category is the Whorl. The Whorl pattern consists of one or more free recurving ridges and two points of delta. When the line of the finger print disc is located on the two points of delta, it will bisect at least on of the ridges belonging to the core group. This category has 4 types: Composite Whorl (CW), Spiral Whorl (SW) Pocket Whorl (PW), Peacock Eye (PE). The pattern of CW has a bull eye in the center yet SW start in the middle with a spinning ridge. PW is very similar to CW. It is not bull eye in the middle but an oral. In PE pattern, it is very easy to identify as it looks like the peacock eye as a whole. In general, most of these types have a centre point. Thus, people in this category are more toward goal oriented. About 20 to 30 percent of population is in this category.
The last category is Complicated Whorl which has combination of 1 or 2 patterns. In this category there are Complicated Whorl (CPW) originated from Whorl family or Double Loops (DL) originated from the Loop family. The CPW is a combination of 2 SW yet DL is a combination of 2 UL. People in this category are multi-tasking in general as they are complicated. About 10 to 20 percent of people are in this category.
